This is probably one of our most favorite clients; they are always challenging us with design requests that really inspire us. To mention a few: custom beer glasses, uniforms, beer tab handles, promotional material for all their events and menus that can get wet and whipped to endure the summer patio season. One of our favorite challenges was to create a beer logo that represented the Grand Bend spirit, produce beer glasses and coasters with the beer description, all before the season began.
Mandragora is the Spanish name for the Mandrake root. This client sells natural remedies and homeopathic pills. The five petal flower was used as a symbol to represent the five classic earth elements: earth, water, air, fire, and aether. We filled the encompassing circle with a graphical representation of soil where all natural remedies begin.
The name Architeer is a hybrid between Architect and Engineer. The logo concept is a symbolic representation of a traditional sloped roof and the regimented lines of structural design. We decided to use a particular grey on the logo to mimic the color used in architectural drawings.
The logo is the representation of a sliced rope knot showing 8 wedges. During the creation of this logo, Marbleknot used 8 colours for all of its designs, hence the 8 wedges. MK, as we affectionately refer to this surface pattern design studio, sells and licenses geometrical patterns to manufacturers. The original project evolved from logos, patterns and web into tradeshow booth designs, product development, and legal name and logo registration in Mexico, US and Canada.
Le Petit Bon Bon
We designed the logo as the literal representation of a French macarons seen from the top. This traditional French confection inspired a feminine, elegant, and versatile logo. Our client offered a variety of featured flavours, so the logo allowed for the use of different colours.
